My name is Kelly, and I am the owner and sole employee of Kelly’s Pet Sitting. I established Kelly’s Pet Sitting in June 2015 and have since worked full time looking after a wide variety of pets. I am originally from the Grapevine/Southlake area of Texas but prior to May 2015, I lived in Norwich, England with my British husband. I started pet sitting professionally after our return to Texas, inspired by my time in England where we were not allowed pets in our rented flat. It was the first time in my whole life that I hadn’t had any animals and I missed them so terribly I could not wait to get here and spend time not only with my own pets, but all my neighbors’ too!

In my life, I have had many cats and dogs, a couple of hamsters, some fish, and a rat. I spent a bit of time around horses growing up (Texas!), and used to get to school early to look after our library’s collection of animals; including snakes, an iguana, birds, and a couple of chinchillas. I love all animals and learning about new creatures, so if you have an unusual pet give me a call!

My first dog was named Scruffy. He turned up out of the woods around Grapevine Lake starving and scared. It was a long time before he would come near us, but once he did he was the sweetest dog. He's the black dog on this page. His whole life he was afraid of tall men, hats, brooms, and loud noises. It was obvious he had been mistreated and later in his life while getting an x-ray for an unrelated reason, we discovered that he had buckshot all in his back from a shotgun. Having him as a first dog taught me that sometimes the most unwanted creatures can give you the most love. He gave me a passion for rescue animals and taught me that patience and calmness can get you far with an unsure animal.
